As is visible in the enclosed photographs this Cupertino tract home was badly outdated and in need of renovation. The homeowners desired a home with a larger kitchen area and spacious Great Room for the purpose of entertaining family, friends, and business associates. In addition to the increased floor space an exterior make over was necessary to increase curb appeal and create architectural character.
In an effort to reduce impact on our clients daily lives as well as reduce the financial impact of renting an alternate home during construction the foundation and structural framing of the addition are taken to a level near completion prior to opening the existing structure to weather.
In an effort to increase curb appeal and architectural dimension to the front elevation a dramatic new entry consisting of a raised barrel ceiling, matching columns sets, and custom doors was added to the entry area. Matching columns, large bow windows, and decorative corbel sets were added to the front elevation to create a consistent architectural theme.
